Oquirrh Mountain Ballet Cast Member Rules & Policies

• Participation Fee:  $125 per participate.  This fee includes costume rental, tights, eyelashes (where applicable), DVD and T-shirt.  This fee also helps cover other production costs.

 

• Volunteer Fee:  $50 per family.  Each family is required to donate at least five hours (5 hrs) of volunteer time. Oquirrh Mountain Ballet depends on volunteers to assist with all aspects of this production.  If you cannot volunteer, please pay a $50 volunteer fee.  This fee will be collected in check form at the beginning of rehearsals.  A volunteer sheet will be available to sign up for 5 hours.  When the volunteer requirement is met, the check will be destroyed.  If parent is unable to volunteer the check will be deposited.

 

• Dancers are encouraged to continue to train in ballet at their current ballet school throughout the duration of rehearsals for this production.  Strength, flexibility and technique are not worked on in rehearsals, but are keys to the excellence which each dancer brings to the production. 

 

• Attendance at rehearsals is mandatory!  Missing more than two rehearsals may result in dismissal.  Attendance at staging, tech, and dress rehearsals is not negotiable.   If you are going to miss a rehearsal, you must contact the director, Alice White @ omballetcompany@gmail.com or by phone 801-750-5480.   

 

• Be on time to all rehearsals dressed appropriately (leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes, and hair in a bun not pony-tail or braid) and warmed up, ready to dance prior to your rehearsal start time.  We reserve the right to add or cancel rehearsals.  Every effort will be made to contact you personally of any changes.  

 

• Dancers must be picked up promptly, no longer than 10 minutes after the end of rehearsal.  Child care fee of $20 will be assessed if child is left 15 minutes after rehearsal.

 

• Dancers and Families must be respectful of the Artistic Staff and all others involved.  Excessive talking, tardiness, disruption of rehearsals or noncompliance to direction given by authorized individuals is unacceptable and may result in dismissal.  

 

• ALL REHEARSALS ARE CLOSED.  Please do not bring friends, or other family members.   

 

• Unauthorized people are not allowed in the back stage areas during rehearsals and performances.  Parents are to escort their dancer(s) to the check in area to check them in and out.  All studio and theater rehearsals are closed; no one is allowed in the auditorium during rehearsals. 

 

• Filming of performances is prohibited.  A DVD of the performance is available with paid participation fees and additional copies are available for $25.

 

• Any person, who willfully destroys props, costumes or scenery is fully liable under the law to replace them.  

 

• Eating or drinking in costume or in the dressing/holding area is prohibited!!    Costumes are expensive and usually are part of a matching set.  If a costume is stained or damaged you may be required to pay to replace the entire set.  

 

• All Fees and paperwork are collected at registration time.  Participation fees and donations are non-refundable.  All correspondence, updated schedules and announcements, etc will be done through email, on our blog: omballet.blogspot.com and our facebook page: www.facebook.com/oquirrhmountainballet
